favorite this post Roots Folk group needing upright bass player (Manhattan/JC/KC) hide this posting unhide

Who we are: three girls

What we play: guitar, ukulele, violin, musical saw, french horn, other stuff and things

Musical style: roots folk originals, a few covers by Tom Waits, Avett Brothers, other famous people

What we need: an upright bassist (guy or girl- doesn't matter) with their own gear who can pick out and sing harmonies

What we do: play shows, rehearse, play shows, rehearse, and play more shows

What's in it for you?
1: You get to play original tunes.
2: You get to play shows. For people. Live people.
3: You get to collaborate and write your own bass lines. We won't stifle your creativity.
4: You get to hang out with us. I think we are pretty cool.
5: This group has the possibility of being big within a year. Touring big. Recording studio big.
Not Lady Gaga big. Maybe NPR Tiny Desk big.

I already have a management contract with a booking agent. Radio play is in the works.

If you are looking for a permanent gig and you don't mind working hard, traveling for rehearsals/shows (we carpool JC, Manhattan, KC) then you just might be the bassist we are looking for. Just reply to this post.
