HI! I have the pleasure to work with the World Heritage Exchange Student Porgram! I am eager to find homes for students from various countries that are in need of American families to include them in everyday life including school (regular school just like everyone else), family time, social events and more!
The minimal investiment is one school year and some students are only here for just one semester. You get to choose your student....you really can choose your family members!
There are students from Denmark, Italy, Germany and so many more places that I can't wait to tell you about!
This is not a paid position rather as a host family you will receive not only a tax write off for a charitable donation but you will also help these young people see how a real American family works! Our goal is to show these children how to bridge the gaps and misconceptions of Americans and if all works out the lessons they learn can be used in their own countries!
It is sad to know that in some families these children come from are not allowed to attend church, worship freely, choose their own clothing or offer advice on how to make their countries into a better place to live. There are some who have to share the little amounts of food with many siblings. Other students are not as challenged, however all of the students are fluent in English and they are eager to learn!

My student from over 4 years ago suprised me on my birthday with a visit all the way from Brasil! His family has requested to host my own children for a school year! Despite the language difficulty with the parents and elders we have remained close friends and it was an experience of a life time!
